Reading
is a continuous source of pleasure and the promotion of reading habit among
children has always been one of the priorities in Orchids –The International
School. USSR, the abbreviation for Uninterrupted Self Sustained Reading is one
of the modes to reach the goal.
Periodically,
fifteen minutes at the end of each day, for a week, are allotted for the
children of classes I to X to develop their reading habit. A three-day Scholastic Book Fair is also held
to encourage the students to pick a book of their choice.
