Rakhee Making Competition (3/8/2012)

India is known for its rich varied culture and heritage. Festivals which form a part of our culture beautify our lives. They bond us together, rejuvenate us and bring us close to our culture. Every festival comes with its own meaning. These celebrations across the religions teach us to become secular beings and above all global citizens. We learn to respect each other and learn to be humane.
We at Orchids - The International School conducted rakhee making competition on 3/8/2012 for classes I-V. Students were excited and thrilled to put in their best of creativity to make the most colourful rakhees. The outcome was a pleasant surprise! The effort and interest shown by the children was truly appreaciable.
