Diya Making Competition (5/11/12)

The lights signify a welcome to prosperity. Diwali is a festivity that is observed to celebrate the triumph of good over evil. It spreads the light by overcoming darkness. Here light is related to knowledge and awareness and darkness signifies ignorance that hinders the path of humanity and makes people commit inhuman acts. Since, the lamps and diyas greatly help in lighting the area, they are considered to be of utmost importance.
Competitions bring out the creativity of students. On 5/11/12 diya making competition was held for the primary students from class I to V. The students brought  earthen diyas, colour glitters, beads etc. and they decorated the diyas using all these materials. The diyas were given a beautiful look and students creativity was shown. All the students participated with enthusiasm.
